Kayla Grayson is the kind of person who takes on every challenge with grit and determination. As a wife, mother of two young girls, and the Chief Operating Officer of Viles & Beckman, she’s a woman who juggles multiple responsibilities with grace and determination. From leading teams at the firm to inspiring those around her with her journey, Kayla continues to break barriers and set new standards of excellence.
Kayla draws on a remarkable career spanning both the military and legal worlds. In her 19th year of service as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy Reserve, Kayla continues to lead and train Sailors, balancing that responsibility with her leadership of civilian employees at the firm. Her experience in overseeing large teams, making critical decisions under pressure, and managing complex situations translates seamlessly into her role at the firm, where she handles everything from operational strategy to marketing, hiring, finances and more.
Kayla’s journey into the legal field began after she suffered an injury in a car accident. Through her own battle with insurance companies, she discovered a passion for helping others navigate personal injury claims. Over the past 15+ years, Kayla has built an extensive legal background, having worked in nearly every role in the industry—legal assistant, case manager, paralegal, closings specialist, firm administrator, and now, COO. Her firsthand knowledge of the challenges injured victims face, combined with her military-honed leadership skills, allows her to advocate fiercely for clients while ensuring Viles & Beckman runs smoothly.
Kayla is also a breast cancer survivor, and her personal journey has made her a powerful advocate for others facing similar struggles. In 2020, she was honored as one of the American Cancer Society’s “Faces of Hope,” and she continues to be a source of strength and inspiration for those fighting the disease.
Despite all her accomplishments, Kayla remains grounded and committed to her family. She’s proof that with hard work, faith, and the support of loved ones, anything is possible. Her leadership at Viles & Beckman is a reflection of her belief that a workplace should be more than just a job—it should be a place where people are encouraged to put family first, make a difference, and be proud of the work they do.
Driven by a deep sense of responsibility to give back to her community, Kayla co-founded the Viles & Beckman Foundation, which focuses on supporting the youth of Southwest Florida. The foundation works to en
sure every child’s potential is nurtured, helping them overcome challenges like food insecurity while empowering teachers to foster young minds. Through this work, Kayla is making a lasting impact on the future of her community.
Her journey hasn’t been without its ups and downs, but Kayla views each challenge as a stepping stone. Whether it’s overcoming personal hardships or leading teams through tough times, she continues to prove that resilience and a positive attitude can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
